Celebrations to remember
The Grand Hôtel & Kurhaus may be located in a rural location but we have a history of supporting major events, from globally-recognised gatherings down to intimate wedding celebrations. For years we’ve hosted members of the Swiss Army taking part in the famous Patrouille des Glaciers race, as well as supporting Les Hauderes, a local music festival and Cime, the biennial folk dancing festival during which hundreds of participants descend on the Evolène valley.
Historical interiors, convivial hospitality, and its beautiful setting mean the Grand Hôtel & Kurhaus continues to be the venue of choice for guests and groups.
Our Restaurant L’Honorine and Bistro Carnotzet, additional bar and salon, as well as our terrace and garden with mountain views, can all be hired for private celebrations, including weddings. A short distance from the main site, and occupying enviable positions on the mountain, two further restaurants are open to guests and visitors during ski season and available for private hire year-round.
Our team works closely with guests to create tailored packages for birthdays, family reunions, corporate and team-building activities, as well as for sports clubs training for events in the area. Our chefs create bespoke menus, ensuring your guests can take in views of the Swiss mountains while dining on the best of Swiss dishes.
We cater for groups and projects of all sizes, depending on your budget, your needs – and your ambition. The two mountain restaurants plus the hotel itself offer the chance for ski-in, ski-out, mountain-wide events. In the summer, garden parties and barbecues can be hosted on the terrace, with the option of afternoon tea.
